David Feather

After leaving school I did an apprenticeship in textiles.   Emigrated to Australia in 1978 and joined the Victoria Police Force, where I have been ever since. Married Joan in 1981 and have two boys Matthew (1984) and Andrew (1987). In 1998 and 2007 we  came back to the UK for a holiday and spent several weeks touring the country, naturally we visited all the old haunts and caught up with a few old friends but not as many as I would have liked to - maybe next time.

Wendy Parish

Left Oakbank 75(ish) and trained as a Tax Officer. Met Neil Ashford on a blind date and got married July 77.  Years on we're still together with 2 children, Russell and Jessie. Have spent all my married life constantly on the move due to Neil being in the army, both children born in Germany where we spent 10 years.

Very fortunate to have had the opportunity to do a whole variety of jobs from aerobic instructor, health and beauty advisor, credit controller to presently working in the teaching profession working with children with learning difficulties.

Have been living in Wiltshire for almost 3 years but will probably be on the move again next year. Due to this have lost contact with almost everyone, although I recently caught up with Caron Ferguson nee Wormald and Janette Thomson nee Baker. Very rarely get to Keighley but feel nostalgic when the opportunity arises.

Note: Neil Ashford went to Bronte and Oakbank with other ex Wesley Place Students.

Christine married Keith Riley in 1981 and they have three children.  She trained as an Occupational  Therapist in Liverpool and worked in Edinburgh and Bury before returning to live in Keighley.  She now works in the community for both Bradford and North Yorkshire Social Services.
